Support us

Spruce Valley Vaulters have been very kindly sponsored by several local businesses in Rocky Mountain House.  Once we began to promote ourselves as a serious group within our locality, we started to grow in numbers and also skill level.  Through the Sport of Vaulting our students learn body awareness, balance, self control, respect for themselves and others, how to train and how to compete.

Body awareness and trust exercise

Our top vaulter and now assistant coach, Hannah Marland, qualified to go to her first World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany in 2006.  Since then it was the World Vaulting Championships in Brno, Czech Republic in 2008, the Kentucky Cup and AVA National Championships in Lexington in 2009, and the World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky in 2010.  Between all these major competitions there are also qualifying international competitions in both the U.S. and Europe to attend. Those athletes that follow her example will need to do the same.

World Vaulting Championships, Brno, Czech Republic

Vaulting being such a little known competitive sport, we rely heavily on our sponsors to help finance the trips to the U. S. and Europe, as well as to competitions in Alberta and B.C., in order to obtain experience as well as qualifying scores.  Every two years there is a World Championship, which is held in Europe, and every 4 years the World Vaulting Championships are held within the multi-discipline World Equestrian Games.  Following in Hannah’s footsteps are several other talented vaulting athletes in our club who all have the ambition to follow into the international competitive world.  Chelsie Nicolls is our 2012 Provincial Reserve Champion.  Cassidy Johannesson is our  2012 Zone 4 Reserve Champion.  And there are several more who are following closely behind these two!

If it were not for the wonderful sponsors from our town of Rocky Mountain House we would be very stretched, financially, to attend all the competitions and clinics that we have had the opportunity to take advantage of –   So –

Thank you to our generous Sponsors!

Thank you to ConocPhillips, XCalibur, Rocky Agricultural Society, Sobey’s, Rocky Credit Union, The Rotary Club, The  Alberta Equestrian Federation, Equi-products, Rocky Feed Solutions, and the many individuals who have helped our club achieve their high level goals.

We helped decorate some of these trees for the Festival of Trees!

All the vaulters are willing volunteers at fundraising events, as are their parents and coach who support their efforts. These students have an excellent work ethic and understand that their personal goals, whether academic, mental, physical or spiritual will only be achieved by hard work and focused application.

Spruce Valley Vaulters will always be pleased to receive donations whether outright or in exchange for volunteering at community events.  Please check out the website to see the kinds of events they have featured in.
